Autumn Burnette, MD, FACAAI, is Assistant Professor in the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Burnette received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She then completed a residency in pediatrics at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, followed by a residency in pediatrics and fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. Burnette specializes in the evaluation and management of adult and pediatric patients with allergic disease and immunologic disorders. She is board-certified in both allergy/immunology and pediatrics and is a fellow and longstanding member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Her clinical interests include hereditary angioedema, urticaria, asthma, and atopic dermatitis. A sought-after speaker, Dr. Burnette has co-authored several abstract publications, given numerous oral presentations, contributed to clinical research, and participated in an array of advisory boards on these areas of interest in her community and throughout the country.
