Joshua R. Richter MD, FACP

Joshua R. Richter, MD, FACP, is Associate Professor of Medicine at Tisch Cancer Institute/Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is also the Director of Multiple Myeloma at the Blavatnik Family Chelsea Medical Center at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, New York.

Dr. Richter received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed his internship and residency training at New York Medical College/St. Vincent's Medical Center, also located in New York, followed by a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Yale Cancer Center in New Haven, Connecticut.

Dr. Richter treats patients with plasma cell dyscrasias, including multiple myeloma and related diseases such as AL amyloidosis, plasma cell leukemia, and Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia. He has extensive experience with clinical trials focused on novel therapies, including antibody therapy and immunotherapy for a precision medicine approach. He has published extensively on these topics and has been invited to speak regionally, nationally, and internationally. His research has been published in journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Blood, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
