Matthew D. Galsky, MD, is a Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, New York. He is also the Director of Genitourinary Medical Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital, also located in New York City.
Dr. Galsky received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He subsequently received training in internal medicine at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Afterward, he completed a fellowship in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Galsky specializes in the care of patients with genitourinary malignancies, including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and testicular cancers. His research is focused on team science-based approaches to dissecting the underpinnings of response and resistance to novel bladder cancer therapies with a particular focus on immunotherapeutic approaches.
