Gregory “Grey” Felzien, MD, AAHIVS, is Medical Advisor in the Division of Medical and Clinical Services at the Georgia Department of Public Health in Athens, Georgia. Dr. Felzien received their MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, did an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University, then completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Felzien is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and is certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine as an HIV Specialist. Dr. Felzien is actively involved in the rural community through promoting HIV awareness and education, including leading numerous local, state, and national talks on HIV, AIDS, and other infectious diseases. Dr. Felzien is also a Medical Advisor for Project ECHO, a platform that enables clinicians to engage with specialists virtually in real time to share clinical support, feedback, and guidance.
