Kristy D. Johnson-Pich, DO, AAHIVS, is a physician at Medical Advocacy and Outreach (MAO; formerly Montgomery AIDS Outreach) in Montgomery, Alabama. Dr. Johnson-Pich received her doctor of osteopathy degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia. She then completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

Dr. Johnson-Pich is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine as an HIV Specialist. Her career has been dedicated to caring for patients throughout the Southeastern US. She has held various roles across the state of Alabama, including at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, where she provided internal medicine and hospital medicine care; at GRIFOLS Plasma Donation Center, where she managed patients requiring plasma donation; and at Southeast Health, where she helped to develop and implement a palliative care program.

As a physician at MAO, Dr. Johnson-Pich provides HIV specialty and primary care services to individuals with or at risk of contracting infections including HIV and hepatitis. She has extensive experience in HIV prevention using pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and regularly provides telemedicine consultations to participating MAO clinics in rural Alabama.

Dr. Johnson-Pich has experience as an educator, having taught several didactic lectures at both Southeast Health and the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has also been invited to speak at several events focused on rural health in the Southeast.
