Marc A. Riedl, MD, MS, is Professor of Medicine and Clinical Director of the US HAEA Angioedema Center at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He also serves as Clinical Service Chief and Training Program Director for the Allergy/Immunology Fellowship Program.

Dr. Riedl received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, did his residency in internal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, then completed a fellowship in clinical immunology and allergy at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Riedl received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from UCLA and holds board certifications in Allergy/Immunology and Clinical Pharmacology. He is a member of the US HAEA Medical Advisory Board and the Immune Deficiency Foundation’s Physician Advisory Committee and has published over 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts, including work in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and the Lancet, among others. Dr. Riedl serves on numerous editorial boards and scientific committees, as well as appointed expert panels for the US Food and Drug Administration and the National Institutes of Health. He directs an active clinical research program at UCSD focused on angioedema and immunodeficiency conditions and lectures frequently at national and international medical conferences.
